I cannot sign in because I lost access to my email or Google account

If you can no longer access the email address or Google account you sign in with, email us at help@scrimba.com from any address you can reach and we will verify you and restore your access.

What to include in your email

  • The email address your Scrimba account was registered with, if you know it.
  • The last four digits of the card used for your subscription.
  • The amount of the transaction.
  • The date of the transaction.

We use these details to trace the payment and confirm you are the account owner. Once you are verified, we can restore your access or change the email you sign in with.

If you only forgot your password

If you can still reach your email, use the Forgot Password option on the login page instead. That is faster than writing to us.

If your subscription disappeared after you changed your email

Email us at help@scrimba.com with both email addresses and tell us which one has the subscription. We will find it and put your access back on the right account. See also How do I change my email or username, or merge two accounts?

You may still be billed while locked out

Losing access to your email does not stop your subscription, so renewals can keep being charged while you cannot sign in. Contact us as soon as you notice rather than waiting, and tell us whether you want the account restored or the subscription cancelled.
