How do free challenges work?

Non-Pro users get 10 free challenge slots, which are shared across every course and your entire account, and the quota does not reset. Once you use up all 10, you can keep watching lessons but you will need to become a Pro member to interact with more challenges.

What are challenges?

Challenges are interactive points within a lesson where the lesson pauses and enters interactivity mode, marked by an alien icon. They are typically found in the challenge sections of courses.

How the quota works

• When you interact with a challenge by adding your own code and saving your solution, it counts toward your 10 free challenge limit.
• The 10 free challenges apply across all courses and your entire account.
• Once you reach your maximum quota, you can skip challenge points and continue watching lessons without interruption.
• The free challenges quota does not reset. Once you reach this limit, you will need to become a Pro member to continue accessing these challenges.

Can I still watch the free lesson?

Yes. If you have reached your free challenges limit, you can still continue with the lesson as long as it is free.

If you are prompted that your challenge has met the free threshold, you can skip that message using the skip button in the top menu bar.
